Another year passes me by and, as always, I keep dreaming for more. I want need my life to start moving forward. I've been rooted in same place for years and it is tearing me apart. Piece by piece, I can feel my life crumbling down. I know it could be worse. In all honesty, I could continue to live like this and everything would be fine on the outside, but it's more of the inner me that needs to be repaired and put together. I need a clean slate but that'll only happen if I give up some things that are precious to me. This includes deviantART.

While I know that dA has been one of the most motivational things in my life and one of the most positive things, I feel that I must depart from it in all senses of commitment to be able to take that step forward. From now on I'm not going to look at my messages very often or at all. If I receive a reply or comment, there is no guarantee that I'll see it or that I'll reply. As a given of course, I won't be able to be here for my watchers and those that I watch. I may stop to say hey and catch up but most likely I won't be around. I will, however, visit dAmn every now and then. I'll most likely either be in #WeEmote, #TheDarkAngelGathers, or #Willyschat. As for my art commitments to dA, I'm sorry that I cannot complete everything I said I would. I will submit one last deviation before I go ghost. It is for an art trade with ~Lucky-Starrr. It is overdue but I promised to complete it so I will. Hopefully it'll be done in about a week or so.

Also if you're wondering, I'm in the process of transferring `Synfull back up to group owner status in #WeEmote. It seems that the group's settings isn't working properly so I'm waiting for feedback from the helpdesk. She'll be the group owner as soon as it is fixed.

You know, dA is and always will be a huge part of my life. I was talking to *dully101  and =sockhidingunderarock the other day and our conversation made me realize how much I've grown by just being here. It has helped me in so many ways; All throughout the hard times and the good times, it has made me a truly better person. I don't want to just thank dA in general but I also want to thank you. Thanks for hanging around and making my time here worthwhile. You guys are truly awesome. I wish you the best of luck where ever life takes you!

Self-harm Awareness Day 2013

To roughly sum up what the journal is about: Today, March first, is Self-harm Awareness Day. The word "self-harm" covers a broad spectrum of different types of suffering that many people, probably more than you think, endure.

Today is a day to let everyone know that self-harm is a serious condition. It needs to be tended to and adressed to eventually step out and into a healthy lifestyle. What you do as an individual is important; Being observant and noticing if others need help could potentially save someone's life from a vicious cycle of self-harm. Self-harm does not always lead to being suicidal but that doesn't make self-harm less important. Self-harm can stem from abuse, low self-esteem, a harsh lifestyle, an addiction, or even trauma. There are many different ways that this can come about but the important part is to start healing as soon as possible. If you are the one that needs guidance, please seek it out. TWLOHA

I'd like to take a moment to introduce you, or perhaps re-introduce you, to an organization that I've know about and have supported for a while now. I don't know how many of you have noticed but for the past few months I've had "twloha ☆" included in my comments' signature. This stands for To Write Love On Her Arms.

"To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide.  TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery." - twloha.com

I encourage you to check out TWLOHA's website and read more about what they stand for, what they hope to accomplish, and the stories that they want to share with the world. Everyone has a story and everyone deserves the chance to continue it and be heard.

Fears vs Dreams

^NicSwaner's journal contained a bit about TWLOHA's Fears vs Dreams venture. Fears vs Dreams was created a year ago to inspire others and to let them know that the are not alone. It also helps people to accept and recognize their fears and to help motivate them to strive for their dreams. For the first time, I've decided to share my Fears and Dreams on ^NicSwaner's journal. I like a lot of different stuff. If I had to pick, I guess it\'d be what I grew up with which is alternative / indie / punk rock like Fall Out Boy. xD

2. How did you discover dA and what makes you participate in this community?
Well I went to a lot of camps when I was younger and I heard my counselors talking about dA. That\'s how I heard of it but I didn\'t sign up then. I rediscovered it browsing the internet. The community in general. They inspire me and make me want to participate.

Anything with pasta and delicious sauce. I love italian and chinese food. c:

That is a good question. Um I\'d I think I\'d go to Europe. I\'d love to see France, Germany, and Italy. As for the person I\'d take with me.. I have a friend who really loves and wants to travel so I might take him. xD

Recently I've been working on a few different things (some of which I've already showed to a few of you). c: I've been busy. Homework will be taking over my life soon and I really neeed to be away for a while, >_> but I may not have the will in me to do that. ;n; So here are some of the things that I've done/made:

• I've also been working on a request for =Rimson-Fuchs. C: It is getting close to being finished. Right now I just need to give it a decent background. xD Which is challenging for me. ;n; Any tips? Here is what I have so far:

He is branching out from the forums now to groups like #Forum-It and #InternationalFAQ and is really making an impact. If he doesn't deserve seniority now, he will later. :3

• `Quolia - Her articles are lovely and she features so many beautiful pieces of art. She is kind and understanding. She has been a deviant for a long time now and you can tell that she is quite dedicated to dA.

"Stop Online Piracy Act" or SOPA is a bill that could be passed in America that would censor websites to stop Copyright infringement. If what I interpreted is correct, this would mean that DeviantART could be shut down because of all of the fan art that deviants produce. Youtube, Tumblr, and a lot of other websites have a very likely chance of shutting down too if this bill passes. If it were to pass I read that the consequences for violating any copyright type thing (like fan art, or posting signed artist's music video on YouTube) would automatically translate to you living in jail for a few years.

I thought that this was a free country. The government should not be this controlling. We need to stop SOPA before it is too late.

+spyed also has made a journal about this. [link] The links he refers to is what brought SOPA to my attention along with some stuff I saw on Tumblr. Please go to those links and sent a message to congress!

Torn

Unfortunately my friend Marty (~Sailor-Pikmin) deactivated her account. I just want to say that I'm truly sorry that this happened. She is very upset with me and I am the ultimate source of her deactivation. I defended Xak (`SanguineEpitaph) in a chatroom where she was being impolite while talking about him. I told Xak what happened which lead to him writing that journal which I approved of and believed and still believe was right to do.

Honestly Marty is a fantastic friend and the only thing that was in her way from being one of my best friends was the fact that she couldn't give up Xak. I love Xak and Marty but they don't like each other one bit -especially now. My relationship with both are completely platonic and I am not biased. To clear the air, I did not try to gang up on Marty to try to destroy her. I just wanted to set things right after everything she said.

She did, as most of you know who were in the chatrooms, bashed Xak with unkind words and was telling people he was a heart breaker. Xak didn't accept her feelings as mutual from day one and so this war came about. I've tried my damnedest to mend their relationship but to no avail. You have no idea how hard I tried. There were so many apologies and yet none of them lasted. Please note that this was not an overnight ordeal. This has been going on for months and has just bubbled up to this moment.

Please do not hate or think less of Marty because of this and the same goes for Xak. Marty was a wonderful friend to me and I enjoyed her company a lot. She has a temper maybe more than some but she really was awesome to hang out with one on one as long as the thought of Xak was not in her mind. She was just in love and felt distraught because the one she was crushing on didn't accept her. I have to admit that love has gotten the best of me at times too. I never had someone slap me in the face before to wake me up but I have been there and it is not fun. Marty is a good person overall and deep down. I'm sad that now on her terms I am no longer her friend.

I hope that she reactivates her account but I can't be too sure. I hope that one day she'll understand why we had to do this. Everything was all negative and it all needed to stop in order to heal. Time heals all wounds right? Time away from this situation will be good for all of us. I feel like my heart has been broken because of this.. I never wanted to create drAma. I hope that the blame and hate in this can all dissolve and we can all be happy again..

Okay so in the beginning of April someone had an avatar that looked similar to this:



I don't think it had a black border but it did have something on its head. I think it was a bow but it could have been a hat. I thought it belonged to this one deviant but he told me he didn't remember ever having an avatar like that. I really could have sworn that it was his.

So I think it belonged to an emoticonist because I think it was pixel art. I believe it was static but I could be wrong. It was cute. I forget what the eyes looked like but they weren't completely white like what I drew.

I'm in denial. Especially since dA changed or de-lagged the avatars on deviations. Before when I used to submit deviations my avatar I had at the time would stay on the deviation I submitted and not change even if I changed my avatar to a new one. I really liked that because then I could go back and see my past avatars without having to dig through my computer. It was like that I believe on all dA accounts but now they just have current avatars on all of deviations. :C It would have helped to find this avatar, but oh well.
